Welcome to Focuserra! This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application. Focuserra helps you achieve your goals using RAS (Reticular Activating System) training through daily focus sessions and visual reminders.

Our commitment to you: Your personal data is yours alone. We believe in complete transparency about what data our app uses and how it's stored.

🔒Data We Store on Your Device

Focuserra stores all data locally on your device using secure local storage (AsyncStorage). This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is also securely synced across your Apple devices via iCloud.

Goals Data

When you create goals in the app, we store the following information locally:

• Goal Title: The name of your goal
• Why Statement: Your personal motivation for pursuing this goal
• Priority Level: The importance level you assign (A, B, or C)
• Deadline: Your target completion date
• Goal Image: Optional images you choose from your photo library or image URLs
• Progress Tracking: Streak counts, total focus days, and completion status
• Metadata: Creation date, last modified date, and sync status flags

Daily Focus Entries

Your daily focus practice data, stored locally:

• Morning Questions: What you plan to focus on each day
• Evening Reflections: Your observations and signs related to your goals
• Focus Quality Ratings: Your self-assessment of daily focus (1-5 scale)
• Emotional State: How you felt during your focus practice
• Actions Taken: Concrete steps you took toward your goals
• Completion Status: Whether you completed your daily reflection

User Preferences

Your app settings and preferences:

• Notification Settings: Times for morning and evening reminders, RAS trigger preferences
• Theme Preference: Your choice of light, dark, or automatic theme
• Onboarding Status: Whether you've completed the initial app walkthrough
• Premium Status: Whether you have access to premium features

☁️iCloud Sync

Focuserra offers optional iCloud sync to keep your data synchronized across all your Apple devices. When iCloud sync is enabled:

• What Gets Synced: Your goals, daily focus entries, progress data, and app preferences are synced across your devices
• How It Works: Data is securely stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure
• Your Control: You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings
• Privacy: Your data is encrypted and stored in your private iCloud container. We cannot access your iCloud data
• Apple's Role: Apple manages the iCloud infrastructure and is subject to their own Privacy Policy

Important: iCloud sync is entirely optional. If you prefer to keep your data only on your device, you can leave iCloud sync disabled.

📸Photo Library Access

The app requests access to your photo library only when you choose to add an image to a goal. This permission allows you to:

• Select images from your photo library to visualize your goals
• Create a personalized vision board

Important: Selected images are stored locally on your device. We don't upload or transmit these images anywhere. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

🔔Notification Permissions

The app requests permission to send you local notifications for:

• Morning Reminders: Optional daily prompts to set your focus for the day
• Evening Reflections: Optional daily reminders to review your progress
• RAS Triggers: Optional periodic reminders throughout the day to maintain goal awareness

Important: All notifications are local (generated by your device) and do not involve any external servers or data transmission. You have complete control over which notifications you receive and can disable them at any time in the app settings.

🌐Internet Usage

The app may access the internet only for the following purposes:

• iCloud Sync: If enabled, syncing your data securely across your Apple devices via iCloud
• Image Display: Loading goal images from Unsplash URLs if you choose to use them
• No Analytics: We do not use any analytics services
• No Advertising: We do not serve ads or use advertising networks
• No Tracking: We do not track your behavior or collect usage statistics

🔐Data Security

Your data security is handled by your device's operating system and Apple's infrastructure:

• All data is stored in your device's secure local storage
• Data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, biometric authentication)
• If iCloud sync is enabled, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's security standards
• iCloud data is stored in your private container and is not accessible to us or any third parties
• Data may also be backed up through your device's backup system (iCloud Backup) if you have enabled device backups
• You have complete control over your data and can delete it at any time through the app

🗑️Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete Individual Items: Remove specific goals or focus entries within the app
• Clear All Data: Reset the app to start fresh (available in Settings)
• Uninstall the App: Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data
• iCloud Data: If you have iCloud sync enabled, deleting data in the app will also remove it from iCloud and all synced devices

Note: When you delete data from the app, it is removed from your device and from iCloud (if sync is enabled). You can also manage your iCloud storage directly through your device's Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.

👶Children's Privacy

Focuserra does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13 years of age. Since all data is stored locally and we don't collect any information, the app can be safely used by people of all ages. However, we recommend parental guidance for users under 13.

🔄Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• We will notify you through the app if there are significant changes
• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

⚖️Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control and ownership:

• Access: You can view all your data at any time within the app
• Modify: You can edit or update any of your goals, focus entries, or preferences
• Delete: You can delete any or all of your data at any time
• Export: While the app doesn't currently offer an export feature, your data is stored in standard formats on your device
• Portability: Your data remains with your device backups if enabled

🌍International Users

Since Focuserra stores all data locally on your device and doesn't transmit data to any servers, there are no international data transfer concerns. The app can be used anywhere in the world, and your data stays on your device regardless of your location.

📜Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA):

Since we don't collect or process any personal data on our servers, GDPR considerations are minimal. The processing of data on your local device is based on your consent and is necessary for the performance of the app's functionality that you've requested.

Apple iCloud

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in Apple's iCloud infrastructure:

• Data is stored in your private iCloud container using Apple's CloudKit service

Unsplash Images

Focuserra may display images from Unsplash (unsplash.com) if you choose to use image URLs for your goals. When you view these images:

• Your device directly loads the image from Unsplash's servers
• Unsplash may log standard web server information (IP address, browser type)
• We recommend reviewing Unsplash's Privacy Policy for more information

Note: Unsplash images are only loaded if you choose to use them. If you use photos from your own library, Unsplash is not involved.
